Stacy, a magnificent KWPN mare standing 1.70m, was born in 1999, the daughter of the stallion Samber and a mare by Hofnar, a Grand Prix Dressage stallion later sold to the USA.

Stacy

Samber, born in 1976, was called “A World Wide Legend” by the Americans who considered him the undisputed king of coloured horses. Very versatile, he had an extraordinary career, for the most part in Grand Prix Dressage, but also over obstacles. His offspring compete in all three disciplines and he is the sire of innumerable coloured stallions in Europe and the USA.

This is no surprise as Samber was very well bred. He was the son of Pericles XX who is one of the two XX stallions (Lucky Boy XX being the other) to have produced the best youngstock in the KWPN studbook. He produced horses for CSO at the highest level (often through his daughters) just as successfully as he produced horses for Grand Prix Dressage – Samber is an example. Pericles had a daughter Pia who was the mother of Ulft (Le Mexico x Pericles XX) and Ulft is the father of Ferro (Olympic Ferro), amongst others!!!! Ulft’s production is phenomenal; you can find his name in the pedigrees of numerous horses competing at the highest levels of CSO and dressage.

Stacy shows both elevated paces and a great aptitude over fences, without even mentioning her exceptional character, and her rare intelligence. In 2005, she won the prize at the Haras de Villeneuve sur Lot for broodmares without a foal at foot for conformation and paces, and her photo was featured in the Eperon in September 2005.

Unfortunately barren in 2005, she returned to work during the winter of 2005 to 2006. In 2006 she was covered by Fétiche de Blagny.

Her first foal, Ziggy Stardust, born in 2004, was also at Elevage Morinda. She was broken in with no problem at the end of 2007 then sold to Corsica to a keen young rider who has become, since then, a talented young professional. In 2011, the pairing became vice-champions of Corsica. Ziggy and Amandine make a strong team today !

As for Stacy herself, on the 27th April 2007 she produced a splendid coloured filly, Tobianah Morinda, also sold on, then she gave us a beautiful colt in 2008 by Copabella Visage. He is called Vizir Morinda Z, and in 2013, he competes in the cycle of Classics for five year olds. He is a true clone of his father. He is extremely promising, supple, strong and agile.

We sold Stacy in the year of Vizir's birth and she presented her new owners with a chestnut filly, the only one of her six foals to be one solid colour. The least we can say is that Viky du Laurentin jumps in spectacular fashion : take a look here.

Stacy was sold again and her new owner had her classified as “Label Plus Dressage” at the 2010 championships at Saumur. She also gave him a magnificent coloured colt in 2011 who is undoubtedly destined for a career in Dressage.

When we learned that her Dressage rider wanted to end the partnership, we decided that it was high time she should return to us. Stacy has been inseminated again in 2012 by Visage van de Olmenhoeve in order to give Vizir a proper brother or sister.

The extremely beautiful Daylight Morinda was born on the 3rd of March : we are over the moon. She is big with good bone and bears the clear stamp of her father Visage who has passed on to her his lovely arab head which is really his trademark.

We therefore made the crossing again and this time, Stacy, who is very well organised, gave us a colt on the 13th of March 2014 who is as beautiful as his sister : Excel Morinda, as big, as stylish and as gentle as Daylight. In view of his quality, there is a high probability that he will become a stallion.

Stacy (who adores Visage) had again taken at the first insemination and on the 7th of April 2015 Flying Lady was born, a beautiful filly full of boundless energy (which is the reason for her name!). She is the 8th foal from this exceptional broodmare. Thank you Stacy !

In 2016, Stacy, who is not about to stop there (even though her inheritance is assured both by her and by her daughter Viki du Lurentin who has already given us two handsome babies) is in foal to the stallion Ballan Soso, grandson of the fantastic Baloubet du Rouet. Stacy is only seventeen and she adores her babies so we are not going to retire her as she’s not ready for that yet.
